| I handed
the psychiatrist a check for
$150 and walked out to my
car. I sat down inside and
instantly felt the urge to
pull coming on strong. Rather
than reaching toward my head,
I followed his instructions
and began to squeeze the steering
wheel. I counted, "One, two,
three. . . ,"all the way to
50. The urge remained. I began
again. "1, 2, 3. . ."
"This is dumb," I thought.
"I don’t want to do this—it
makes no sense to me."
The voice in my head said,
"Why? Don’t you want to find
a way to stop pulling your
hair out?"
And shockingly I replied,
"No. No, I really don’t."
That was the day I began to
heal. |
Isn’t
it about time for hope and real healing?

Abby
Leora Rohrer
Dear
Friend,
Of
course, you want to control your trichotillomania,
to stop the feelings of anger and shame.
You want to stop behaving like a deer
caught in the headlights when someone
carelessly says, "I was so frustrated
I wanted to pull my hair out!"
But
you’ve tried so many things you don’t
know who or what to believe anymore.
You just want the inner battle to stop!
My
name is Abby Leora Rohrer and I’m a
former compulsive hair puller.
For 27 years, I pulled from the crown
of my head for hours most days, furiously
searching for just the "right" hairs.
Does
this sound familiar?
Reaching
up, sorting through, finding the
one with the perfect feel and just the
right texture.
Making
the pull. Hoping for a big white
bulb on the end. Examining it.
Maybe chewing the bulb or the hair.
Discarding it and on to the next one.
An endless quest.
The
frustration, the shame, the wondering
why, the rage, the fear of being found
out.
The
bald spots, the hiding, the lost
hours, the struggle for control, the
piles of hair on the floor.
The
times of remission. The urge
is gone. Suddenly, you just don’t need
to pull. Your life is full and
you’re busy and happy. But without
explanation, that furious urge always
returns.
Hair
pulling is an isolating experience.
Even though I was married and had a
child, I was lonely and depressed.
For hours each day I was in "voluntary
solitary confinement" pulling out my
hair while my pulse raised and my adrenaline
level soared. Sometimes, I was
too revved to fall asleep before dawn.
Hair pulling
is a "drug".
Believe me, I know your struggle because
it used to be my struggle
At
age 21 I started looking for my own
answers. I spent the next 18 years in
various types of offices. I tried
six kinds of psychotherapy, attended
human potential trainings, 12-step groups,
four kinds of chiropractic, acupuncture,
homeopathy, Reiki and a bunch of other
natural and New Age stuff. I read self-help
by the score—tried everything but medication.
None
of it worked.
I was pulling more.
I was less happy than ever before.
In the spring of 1994, after
that behavior therapy session, I got
totally disgusted with the endless search.
The
answers weren’t out-there.
I was pissed off! And
fed up with paying people for answers
and abilities they just didn’t have.
Aren’t
you?
If you really think about
it, aren’t you just a bit angry about
the lack of useful answers available
for permanently ending your
hair pulling?
I decided, "There has to be
a way to beat this thing. If the
answers aren’t ‘out there’ maybe they’re
‘in here.'
Instead of staying powerless,
I decided to get mad. And determined.
I took back the reins and began to
heal
May
8, 2006 marked the 12th Anniversary
of the last time I pulled a hair from
my head. I was 39 years old and had
been hair pulling since the age
of 12. I’ve spent these last twelve
years researching, writing and teaching
others how permanent self-healing works.
But
since that May, NOT pulling has been
effortless and my life has improved
in so many fantastic ways. These
changes came, not simply from stopping
the hair pulling, but because
of how I did it.
No One Except Another Hairpuller
Can Tell You
Exactly How To Heal
The "Inner-Hairpuller" Experience
I
use a different model for understanding
and ending trichotillomania
than healing professionals or hair pullers.
I will show you exactly how to find
and remove the core of your own
trichotillomania.
I
hate to tell you this, but years ago
when I first shared my experience some
hairpullers actually laughed at me in
disbelief.
I
can’t blame them because I was probably
pretty cocky. At the time I had
been pull-free for less than six months
but I knew I had fully overcome
it. And partly, they were angry
because I had stated my unwavering belief,
"hair pullers are capable of healing
themselves fully as long as they make
the inner commitment to do so."
This
material takes the power for complete
recovery and puts it into your own hands.
But instead of standing up
to those so-called experts (who hadn't
successfully stopped their own
hair pulling) who ridiculed me for the
solution I know works, I went off and
used my method to help folks struggling
with other compulsions and even depression.
It has never failed when the person
made the sincere commitment to heal!
But,
making the commitment to free yourself
can be difficult, wouldn’t you agree?
Emphatically declaring, "I deserve
more than this. I’m not going to live
like this anymore!" can be challenging.
It was for me. After all, hair
pulling can appear so tension relieving.
You may be so focused on the relief
of tension and the impact to your appearance
that you don’t even notice how it’s
eroding your self-esteem.

Praise for Abby
Rohrer’s Self-Healing Instruction
Manual:
"Abby Rohrer
has provided a program for
people whose lives are disrupted
by unhealthy addictions
and their families and loved
ones. She offers hope
for full healing; a virtue
seldom found in the recovery
community. Her formula
begins and ends with taking
full responsibility for
our own healing. Ms.
Rohrer represents a new
kind of healer, one who
has walked in the shoes
of the sufferer and knows
both the pitfalls and what
helps, first hand.
This book is a "must read"
for anyone who is in recovery.
. . (her material) offers
a positive and helpful alternative."
Philip Kavanaugh, M.D.,
author of Magnificent

"Abby Rohrer
presents a passionate yet
reasoned attempt to lead
those plagued by addictive
behavior to the only place
where real recovery is possible:
inside themselves.
This book is an instruction
manual for a journey within."

Don’t worry.
What’s Wrong With Pulling My Hair
Out? can help.
Because, it was specifically
written to address all 3 of these crucial
areas:
-
Your natural resistance
to change
-
Your habitual behavior
-
Your damaged self-esteem
This book is
the only one of its kind.
Excerpted from my successful
self-healing program, it will give you
the information that you need to end
your compulsion and repair your self-esteem.
My program has been successfully used
to heal many things: trichotillomania, codependency/relationship
addiction, bulimia, compulsive overeating,
old grief and anger, the painful emotional
remnants of childhood abuse, abortion
and divorce, sudden relationship losses
& more.
And
now it can work for you too . . .
I have
recently decided to put out this book
just for trichotillomania sufferers.
I want to share with you the self-healing
information that I’ve found that works
(and what doesn’t)! I've already
received some powerful comments from

“Here
are some pictures
to show how your book
has helped me!” |
|
I've been doing
the book lessons,
and really feel it's
helping. I'm
not always completely
pull-free every day,
but when I do pull
I use your suggestion
and, amazingly, that's
what allows me
to stop after just
2-3 hairs instead
of going back for
more!
I'm actually allowing
myself to feel anger,
sadness, etc., whereas
before I would suppress
those feelings with
hair pulling.
Overall, I'm much
happier. I've
attached 2 pictures: They're
both of my right side,
which was pretty bad-off
to begin with but
is looking much better
after just one month!

“It's
been nearly 6 months since
I've pulled!”
"Not
since I ordered your book
online! I know I'm completely
finished hair pulling.
I have no desires still at
all. Thank you!
--J.M.J., Maryland
“I
have not pulled a single,
solitary hair in 2 months
since reading your book!”
"This
is huge because I was to the
point where I was pulling
every single day for at least
an hour, probably two.
"I'm
filled with gratitude, shock
and an odd feeling of peace
about it. I feel like
I've been exposed to whole
new worlds, and the opportunities
go wayyy beyond just stopping
my hair pulling.
I never even thought that
stopping was possible!
Yipeee!
"Thanks
for your courage to share
so much of yourself to help
so many others, Abby!
I love getting your emails.

--A Reader
from Illinois
“Since
reading your info, I have
quit hair pulling!”
"I have
pulled all of my life, ever
since I can remember. . .but
since reading your materials,
I have quit. I pulled
one hair. . .unconsciously,
realized what I did, then
threw the hair away!
"I
just wanted to let you know
that you really struck a chord
with me. I am so very
grateful."
--A
Reader from Colorado
“It
sure seemed like a never ending
drama that I couldn't stop.”
"But
I have to say that since reading
the book I have not
been pulling my hair for over
2 months now.
I am very much pleased to
have someone like you to reach
out to because I don't know
what else I would have done.
"I
want to thank you again and
will keep in touch."
--A
Reader from Ohio
"I'm now 58 days pull-free
(since the day I bought your
book)!"
"Thank
you so much, Abby!
"The
book had much influence on
my life. I feel much
better with my self and
I'm much more attentive to
my needs and to stress
creating situations.
It has also helped me to take
control in other areas

"I
hope that others will be as

“I took
a very big step by ordering
your book. I have never confronted
my problem so honestly before.
For 27 years I have wrestled,
punished and emotionally abused
myself. I thought that I was
bad and weird. It was like
a weight was lifted off of
my shoulders to read that
someone else experienced the

was astounded that other people
actually felt the same way.
You were almost a mirror image
of me; down to the thoughts,
behaviors and reasons associated

”Your book
helped me look at my behavior

the most significant thing
was the empowerment it gave

I promise your situation is not unique.
And more importantly
- your situation is NOT hopeless.
I am not a special
case. I was able to end my battle
with trichotillomania, on my
own, even though I am not a therapist
or doctor.
And so can you,
if YOU choose to do so. ORDER
NOW

The big problem is that people
who suffer from trichotillomania have
been fed so many untruths.
Here
are just a few:
| Myth
#1: |
Compulsive
hair pulling is a hereditary
illness.
It has still not been
definitely proven that
trichotillomania
is hereditary. |
| Myth
#2: |
There is
no cure for trichotillomania.
The cure I found was outside
of the traditional medical,
psychological and social models. To
utilize it, I had to be willing
to open up my mind. |
| Myth
#3: |
You
don’t have the ability to
end your compulsive hair
pulling. The best
you can hope for is a way
to control it.
You can learn how to cure yourself.
If you choose to, you can
live fully free of compulsive
hair pulling for
the rest of your life. |
| Myth
#4: |
If a solution exists,
it exists outside of you.
In fact, it’s just the
opposite. The only
permanent solution for healing
your trichotillomania
is inside of you. |
| Myth
#5: |
You’re
weird, crazy, sick, abnormal
and deviant if you pull
out your hair.
Maybe it’s the world
that is weird, crazy, sick,
abnormal and deviant. |
You may have
heard some or all of the above myths.
I will show you why none of them are
true and how believing in them will
only stop your ability to heal.
You need
to try something different.
And
that’s why I wanted to share this exciting
perspective with you. Wouldn’t
you agree that it’s foolish to think
that by doing the same thing over and
over again you’ll get different results?
If I keep touching a hot stove and keep
getting burned, I’d be silly to think
the next time I touch that hot stove
I won’t get burned. The answers you’ve
sought haven’t worked and have brought
you here.
Here’s How I Can Help You End Your
Trichotillomania

The other day I calculated that over the
years I spent $89,205 (an average of
$3300 per year) and 4,137 hours in my
own quest for freedom from compulsive
hairpulling. I tried a dozen therapists,
six kinds of psychotherapy, behavior
therapy, 12-Step groups, support groups,
homeopathy, acupuncture, human potential
trainings, personality assessment programs,
five types of chiropractic care, reiki,
cranial sacral, rebirthing, reparenting,
meditation, scores of self-help books
and more. Now, You can benefit from my
years of trial and error, my years of
research and my years of enormous expense. And since healing I’ve spent
much of the last 10 years to develop
and get this material out to you.
This is my passion – I’ve lived and
breathed it nearly every moment since
1994.
Now, you
could go to endless psychotherapy or
behavior therapy sessions, try special
diets, Hair Puller's Anonymous programs
or try numerous medications and still
you will never tap into the amazing
truths that this book provides about
how to stop your trichotillomania for

In
the past I've tried to offer this information
